Spent the morning saying goodbye . . . to my sweetheart . . . to the three cats that roam in & out as they please…to some sweet neighbors who have made city life feel a little more small town. Like sharing fresh eggs from their small flock. I’ll be moving from a neighborhood with two chickens in the backyard to one with approximately 60,000 in a commercial facility down the road. That’s fodder for another post…
Took some old electronics I collected from friends and our home to the recycling site (everything gets sorted through, repaired or repurposed). Watered the indoor and porch plants. Made sure the cats have plenty of food and water. Filled up the crock we drink from in the kitchen with filtered water. Then filled my own stainless steel water bottle for the road trip. Everyone’s been looked after, and it’s time to pack the car.
See you all on the other side!
Think: In what ways do you take care of yourself, your loved ones, your community? How is that support reciprocated?
Say: Tell the ones who matter to you how much they matter and why. Journal the things you’re grateful for.
Do: Take one action that will nourish those around you. Today.
